When Mandy asked me to do her flowers I got heaps excited! She told me she wanted “roses and no greenery” and that just made my heart race.As a florist, there is nothing more challenging than breaking all the rules of floristry in order to create something different. When working with no greenery, I knew I had to emphasis on design and shape to make sure arrangements looked nice. Because she had a very specific vision for her ceremony, I had to move a few mountains to get the exact arbour and clear plinths she had pictured. Thanks to NS Prop Styling, I found the perfect arbour that matched her design concept. The results were amazing! I was so impressed with the Wollongong Art Gallery space. Until Mandy and Drew’s wedding, I didn’t know you could get married there. Ceremony was just perfect, like a work of art. Once Ceremony was finished, we moved arbour and plinths to the Reception at Lucia’s by the Sea and placed it behind the bridal table. Mandy and Drew had such a good time at their wedding, they seemed super happy with the results and I can’t thank them enough for choosing us from Dusty Gypsy to do their florals. Huge thanks to Leah and Lens Photography for the amazing photos as well. It is always a pleasure working with amazing couples and incredible people!
